: A bit of a rewrite. :

Okay. You've all probably read my entry from yesterday. However, I found I need to rewrite that, and repost it, as there is one large error in there that could make a lot of difference in people's perspective on this situation.

I talked to Mumsie, and the money situation is not at all what I thought it was. Apparently, I misunderstood some things, and kinda sorta didn't talk to her before writing this up. Thus, the rewrite.

Friends... comrades... loyal readers... those with money. I need a favour.

My school does an eighth grade trip to Washington, D.C. every year, in April. This year it's from Aril 4, 2004 - April 8, 2004.

The problem is the cost. The full cost is $1464 (American), which includes a $39 non-refundable application fee.

That doesn't seem like a lot of money, especially when you consider that, for the most part, my family is pretty well off.

However, I know that I take a lot for granted, and my parents do a lot for me. I am, for lack of a better word, blessed in all that I have, and I am more than grateful for everything that I have. But, I also take money for granted. So I decided to pay for the trip, or at least part of it, by myself. I know that I can't rely on my parents forever, nor do I want to. This is my first step in that direction of being able to do things for myself.

Just a little will help. And hey, if people will pay to get some twit out of debt online, they can help support a teenager who wants to go on an educational fieldtrip across the US.

Thanks.

-Noelle B.

PS: For more info on the trip, go to http://worldstrides.com . Just in case you were wondering. -NB
