i want to cry every time i get spam for rape or incest porn. when will people begin to understand?

there is nothing pleasurable about being raped; there is nothing exciting about incest. it violates you, makes you feel dirty and horrible to the very core of your soul. you blame yourself- you believe that it is your fault. this isn't helped by the accusers and those who will never understand; those who say you "asked" for it.

no survivor of rape asked to be assaulted- no one even asked them, that's what makes it rape! it is ignorance and the additude that the victim "deserved" it or "asked" for it that causes this statistic: only 53.7% of rapes and sexual assaults were reported last year. that is a little more than 124,000 reported, out of an approx. 248,000 sex crimes- and that is US residents 12 and older. despite this decline in sex crimes since 1993 (from 485,000 in 1993 to 248,000 last year), this is still a heart-breaking number.

please. educate yourself, and educate those around you. there is nothing erotic about nightmares night after night, simply a bystander in your memories, thinking of everything you could have, should have done differently; unable to change anything.

ignorance may be bliss, but it hurts people more than words can describe.
